Two omnidirectional mics are featured on the camera which produce pretty decent sound quality, but I’d imagine like myself, any regular streamer will have a stand-alone mic which they already use.įrom what I’ve seen in videos of the background removal it’s definitely a feature worth buying the camera for, I’m going to work at it in case there’s a problem with my system ‘cos it seems a shame to have a feature that good and not be able to use it. I had to reboot mine in order for the software to automatically recognise and install but apart from that it couldn’t have been easier. Just plug it in and let your PC do the rest, but if anything doesn’t work first time just give your PC a reboot and it should work itself out. I’d imagine anyone replacing their C920 will already have a tripod sorted so they can switch over their camera quite easily, and anyone else can pick one up on sites like Amazon thanks to the mount built in to the camera which was also on the C920.Īs with the C920, the C922 is easy to set up. The C922 comes with a mini tripod which is a nice touch, but really it’s a bit too small to use. Nothing much has changed in the looks department, apart from the active LED on the camera now being a more calm yellow rather than the old vibrant blue, the camera looks pretty much the same but that’s fine ‘cos honestly, I can’t fault it at all. I tried a couple of reboots to make sure everything was installed properly, but nothing seemed to work. Unfortunately I couldn’t get this to work on my two year old Alienware Alpha i7, every time I enabled it via XSplit my CPU usage shot up causing everything to slow down. This basically eliminates the need for a green screen and removes any background by isolating the person in shot. The other major difference, and arguably the most important, is the customisable background replacement. It’s not a massive upgrade, but it does have a couple of important features which I think a lot of people may want to upgrade for.įirstly, the C920 maxed at 720p 30fps, but the C922 increases the frame rate to 60 which will be beneficial for a number of people. The Logitech C920 has long been the first choice of webcam for content creators and streamers alike, I myself picked one up to use on my channel and have stuck with it ever since.
